  1. This from today’s Arutz Sheva:

‘Jews banned:’ European Chief Rabbis officially disinvited from Bosnia
Following a complaint from a Bosnian minister, a biannual meeting of the Conference of European Rabbis that was to be held in Sarajevo next week was canceled at the last minute.

the article goes on to explain that the hotel where the rabbis were planning to hold their meeting cancelled their reservations after a minister in the Bosnian government launched into a virulent antisemitic tirade, blaming the rabbis for supposed Israeli :genocide: against the Palestinians in Gaza. One especially confusing aspect of the tirade was the minister’s claim that allowing the rabbis to hold their conference in Sarajevo would compromise Bosnians status as a “place of openness and hospitality to all.” Huh? I am completely baffled by his reasoning. Refusing hospitality to a group of rabbis would ensure that Bosnia-Herzegovina would be a place of openness and hospitality to all? The ultimate in Orwellian doublethink.

The rabbis reacted by urging the European Union to deny Bosnia’s application for admission to the European Union, since its refusal to let them meet there, after first inviting them to do so, violated provisions of the EU Charter which prohibits discrimination on religious grounds, and specifically forbids antisemitism by EU states.I agree with the rabbis recommendation to the EU Council.

We should not forget that it was the United States and NATO that demanded that Yugoslavia be partitioned, and that Bosnia-Herzegovina be admitted to the UN and EU state, under an Islamist (not just Muslim but Islamist). This was a result of the anti-Serbianism of the NATO powers, including the United States. In view of Serbia’s valiant efforts on behalf of the Allies in both World Wars I and II, at the cost of hundreds of thousands of Serbian lives. The lack of gratitude to the Serbs, and their open support in the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s for their enemies, the Croats, the Bosniak Muslims and the Albanians, was disgraceful.
